Founded in 1884, West End Rowing Club is based at Saunders Reserve on the Whau River — with a boatshed at Mercer and a coastal clubhouse at Cox's Bay. We cater for all: juniors to masters, novices to internationals. We're one of New Zealand's oldest and largest rowing clubs — and we like to think one of the friendliest.
Coastal rowing and beach sprints are rowing's fastest-growing disciplines — short, loud, spectator-friendly and on the Olympic pathway. Our purpose-built clubhouse at Cox's Bay is where Auckland tries it first. West End's Erin James has already worn the silver fern in coastal.

Huge news: our Lead Women's Coach is selected as coxswain of the NZ Women's 8+ for the World Champs in August — recognition of Harry's leadership on and off the water.
