A small group of the WERC club squad recently headed down for the North Island Interprovincial Regatta. It’s a new regatta and format, which gave us the chance to race as part of the wider Auckland team over the 1km course.
There was a lot of racing throughout the day, with some great performances across the Auckland crews, which saw Auckland take out the overall Interprovincial title!
It was cool to have a more relaxed day of racing, and a great opportunity to race alongside athletes from other Auckland clubs. Hopefully IPs continue to grow over the next few years, and we can get an even bigger West End club group down next time!
